Stab High is heading to China.
On November 13 and 14, Stab High presented by Monster Energy will take over Riyue Bay Surf Resort in Hainan, bringing one of surfing’s most progressive events to China’s first PerfectSwell® surf venue.
Originally planned for Sydney, the event shifted locations after maintenance scheduling made the Australian venue unavailable. The change of plans led Stab to Hainan, where Riyue Bay offers something particularly well suited to the format: a powerful, highly launchable PerfectSwell® air section.
Built for Progression
Stab High has always been about progressive surfing, creativity and what happens above the lip.
That makes Riyue Bay a natural fit.
The venue also sits just a short distance from the ocean, placing PerfectSwell® alongside one of China’s best-known surf destinations.
For competitors, that creates an environment where highly repeatable waves can be used to push progression in a way that is difficult to replicate in the ocean.
Two Days of Stab High
Competition begins Friday, November 13, with qualifying rounds.
The field will then be reduced for the finals on Saturday, November 14.
The event will be broadcast live for Stab Premium members, with Monster Energy presenting the event and Vans, YETI, Sun Bum and Quiksilver joining as partners.
