Pro surfers test out new wave options at Brazil’s Boa Vista Village.
Now, as seen in the scorching new edit above, it appears that Boa Vista has upped their game, releasing a flurry of new wave options. Sampled by Rob Kelly, Tomas Hermes, Miguel Pupo, and Alejo Muniz, the new waves offer longer tubes, different sections, and more variety. All the while, the clip is scored to a Phoenix-esque synth soundtrack, elevating the dreamy quality.
“As PerfectSwell® Boa Vista Village approaches its one-year anniversary, acclaimed videographer Bruno Zanin visited the land locked paradise and captured the wave pool in its most dreamlike states,” the caption reads. “From empty cerulean, blue barrels to the deep navy of the morning glass off, never has a surf pool looked more inviting.”
Like mentioned above, Boa Vista Village is the world’s largest and most private pool produced by American Wave Machines and their PerfectSwell tech. The pool, which sits outside of Sao Paulo and is exclusively available to onsite residents and hotel guests (and pro surfers), is six acres – that’s twice the size of its American cousin, Waco Surf.
“At PerfectSwell® Boa Vista we manage to cater to everyone, from beginners to surf champions who are always asking to come and train at Boa Vista,” said Eduardo Grinberg, Director of Operations and JHSF Wave Manager, previously in a press release. “PerfectSwell® waves are the real deal. Everything that happens in nature, happens in PerfectSwell®.”
And steadily, since its debut nearly a year ago, Boa Vista has emerged as one of the leaders in artificial surf simulation. Hard to imagine it can get much better; welcome to the final frontier.
