First PerfectSwell® Waves Surfed in Japan

Despite a global pandemic, supply chain disruptions, travel restrictions, quarantines, and 5,500 miles of Pacific Ocean to cross, PerfectSwell® Surf Technology has been successfully installed at PerfectSwell® Shizunami in Makinohara, Japan. With a strict travel ban in place, efforts were coordinated to operate and install waves remotely from American Wave Machines, Inc. mission control in Solana Beach, CA. Volcom partnered to bring world class surfing talents Sara and Taichi Wakita as test pilots and the first to surf PerfectSwell® tech in Japan. Congratulations to all involved.
